Liver Transplant Team

Dr. A. S. Soin has a large team of 130 specially trained staff that consists of

8 Consultant Liver Transplant Surgeons, 4 Consultant Liver Transplant Physicians, 3 Liver Transplant Surgical Fellows, 3 Hepatology Fellows,  7 Consultant Liver Transplant Anaesthetists, 5 Consultant Intensive Care Specialists, 3 Consultant Radiologists, 1 Consultant Pathologist, 1 Medical Administrator, 5 Transplant Coordinators, 2 physiotherapists, 30 OT Technicians, 48 Liver Intensive Care Nurses, and 10 office staff.

In addition, specially trained medical and nursing staff for ICU, nephrologists, liver pathologists, clinical microbiologists, physiotherapists, and nutritionists are available round-the-clock.

Dr. Soin and his surgical team have extensive experience in both cadaveric and living donor liver transplantation for adults and children, microvascular surgery and liver resection (removal of parts of liver as in donor surgery or in case of tumours in the non-transplant situation). He has performed more than a thousand liver transplants so far of which nearly 600 have been carried out in India with a 95% success rate.
